R&D objectives are hard to write
Some R&D objectives tend to be around supporting others. You need to be clear exactly what this means. Other R&D objectives about keeping up with the latest research and ‘networking’ can be very vague and woolly.
Cascading objectives in R&D can be more difficult that other departments so I’ve given an example of how to do this effectively.

I’ve gathered together examples from many R&D people just like you. I’ve put them into this document – my ‘quick start sheet’.
